We focus on consumer-facing iOS applications with a privacy-by-default philosophy. We are particularly drawn to projects in audio, wellness, finance, language, and lifestyle — areas where local-first architecture can deliver a uniquely better user experience. Our typical project is in the £75k – £500k range, and most engagements last between three and twelve months.

All of our projects are fixed-fee, not time-and-materials. We provide a detailed scope-of-work document and a written quote before any contract is signed. We invoice in three milestones: 30% on kickoff, 40% at the end of the build phase, and 30% on App Store launch. There are no hidden costs, no surprise overages, and no hourly billing.

Our primary focus is iOS, iPadOS, and macOS — and that is where 95% of our work lives. On a case-by-case basis, we also take on Android projects through trusted partner studios, and we have done a small number of Web projects using Swift on the server. We will always be transparent about whether your project is a good fit for our team.

A typical first-version iOS application takes between 12 and 20 weeks from kickoff to App Store launch. This includes two weeks of discovery, four weeks of high-fidelity design, six to twelve weeks of engineering, and one to two weeks of TestFlight beta testing and App Store review.

Yes — and we do it often. Our privacy and App Store team has recovered dozens of rejected applications in the last 12 months, including complex Guideline 5.1.1 (privacy) and Guideline 4.0 (design) cases. We provide a written rejection analysis within 48 hours, a remediation plan, and full resubmission support.

Our core team is six senior practitioners: an engineering lead, a privacy engineer, a design director, an ML engineer, a product strategist, and a QA/release engineer. Every project is staffed with a hand-picked subset of this team, plus trusted specialist freelancers when additional capacity is needed.

Yes. Every project includes a complimentary 60-day post-launch support window, and most clients opt into a long-term maintenance contract that covers security updates, OS-version compatibility, dependency upgrades, and feature development on a quarterly retainer basis. Maintenance retainers typically range from £2,500 to £12,000 per month depending on app complexity.

Absolutely — some of our best work has been with first-time founders. We offer a discounted "Launch Package" for funded seed-stage startups, which includes a reduced 4-week discovery sprint, a smaller initial build scope, and an in-built path to scale up once you have validated product-market fit. Reach out and we will send you a one-pager.

Careers

We don't have open roles right now — but we are always interested in exceptional humans.

If you are a senior iOS engineer, privacy specialist, or motion designer who shares our obsession for craft and our commitment to user privacy, we would still love to hear from you. We are growing carefully and may have a place for the right person.
